21 cases in COVID-19 outbreak at St. FX

Nova Scotia says some cases did not make reporting cutoff

Nova Scotia reported 21 cases of COVID-19 at St. Francis Xavier University on Wednesday.

The cases at St. FX in Antigonish include the 12 announced by the university on Tuesday.

The province also reported 34 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Currently, there are 162 known active cases of COVID in the province. Eleven people are in hospital, including four in the ICU.

There are 14 cases in the eastern zone, 13 cases in the central zone, six cases in the northern zone and one case in the western zone.

The province said some of the 21 cases connected to the outbreak at St. FX did not make the reporting cutoff and will be included in Thursday’s case count.
