A student died at the LeMarchant residence on Dalhousie campus Friday morningHalifax Regional Police are investigating after a student died at a Dalhousie University residence this morning.
Police say they arrived at 1246 Lemarchant Street, a student residence, at 3:20 a.m. to assist with a medical emergency.
The 19-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said in a press release there is no evidence that suggests foul play.
In a security bulletin Friday morning, Dalhousie president Dr. Richard Florizone encouraged any students who need grief counselling to contact Dalhousie Counselling and Psychological Services on the second floor of LeMarchant Place.

The woman has been identified but her next of kin have not yet been notified. Dalhousie Student Union President Dan Nicholson expressed his condolences this morning.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
