Eagle feathers were recently introduced in the Nova Scotia court system. The feathers can be used in place of a Bible for witnesses under oath. But what is the broader meaning of the eagle feather?
Aaron Prosper is the president of the Dalhousie Student Union. He learned about the meaning of eagle feathers from Mi’kmaq elders in Eskasoni. Prosper keeps an eagle feather close by in his office.
