Contemporary dancer and choreographer Sara Coffin launched a new duet this week with artistic partner Gillian Seaward-Boone. Titled “standing alone facing you,” it explores two sides of one person, she says.
Watch Coffin describe a highly physical scene that represents “being weighted down with all your thoughts that you can’t get out of your head.”
Mocean Dance bills the larger show, Ordinary Rebels, as a “study of external reality versus personal perception.”
The dance premieres at Neptune Theatre Jan. 21-23.
