A stabbing victim, who was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, is improving, says Halifax Regional Police spokesperson Const. Dianne Penfound.

On Saturday at 1:05 p.m. police were called to a path in the area of Albro Lake Road and Wyse Road where the unidentified man was stabbed.

Police believe that this was a random act.

The suspect is described as a short, black male. No arrests have been made as of Monday afternoon.

No further details are known as this time.
