Many governments and organizations have media guidelines and communications staff to handle queries from reporters.

Guidelines: Media and public access to the courts of Nova Scotia
Jennifer Stairs is the courts communications director. NOTE: You usually don’t need to contact her to cover a case in open court, but there are temporary guidelines in place during the pandemic. If you want to go to court, talk to Terra first.
Phone: (902) 424-6018
This media centre page explains the process for calls. Use the general phone number (902-490-7400) and email (firstname.lastname@example.org), but a specific communications officer will get back to you.
Talk to your instructor before reaching out. Use the general email address (email@example.com) if you have an inquiry. It’s monitored weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Inquiries must be sent from your Dal/King’s email account and CC’d to the instructor. News releases are different. If you’re calling about a specific news release, check the contact info at the bottom. That info is included because police expect or even want media to call. Confused? Talk to your instructor.
