The Big Sing, a bi-weekly, drop-in choir in Halifax, celebrated its second anniversary on Tuesday.

It was started by local musicians Jack Bennet and George Woodhouse in 2017.

Participants gather every other Tuesday at Gus’ Pub on Agricola Street. They don’t have to be able to sing to take part, as Bennet tells those who can’t sing well to sing louder.

So far, participants have covered such songs as You’re My Best Friend by Queen, Dreams by Fleetwood Mac and Shake It Off by Taylor Swift.

The Signal was there Tuesday as the group sang Home by Phillip Phillips.
