On Monday morning, the Macdonald bridge was closed due to construction. Crews removed a part of the bridge and reinserted a new one as part of their Big Lift project. The bridge was supposed to reopen at 5:30 a.m. but construction delays resulted in it opening around 9 a.m. This caused huge traffic slowdown on the MacKay bridge and in Dartmouth. People took to Twitter to express their displeasure.
