Three masked men flee crime scene on foot

Police are looking for three masked suspects after a man was shot in his home in Head of Chezzetcook, N.S., on Thursday.

RCMP said the men wore masks and entered the victim’s home on Mary Etta Drive at about 3:45 p.m. The victim, 43, was shot in the stomach and airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is expected to recover.

The suspects fled the home on foot and are believed to have left the area in a vehicle. A police dog was brought in, but was unable to locate the suspects.

RCMP said the victim does not know the identity of the masked men, but investigators believe this was not a random act.
