One death, 22 new COVID-19 cases in Nova Scotia

There are a total of 169 active cases in the province

Nova Scotia is reporting another death due to COVID-19 and 22 new cases.

A man in his 70s in the central zone has died, the province announced Thursday in a news release.

The provincial case data shows 17 patients are hospitalized, including five in the ICU.

Sixteen of the new cases are in the central zone. The northern zone has five cases and the western zone has one.

There are now 169 active cases in the province.

Eight schools were notified of exposures on Wednesday. In the Halifax region, this includes Beechville Lakeside Timberlea Jr Elementary, Clayton Park Junior High, Fairview Junior High and
Grosvenor-Wentworth Park Elementary.
