Facing uncertain times with courage and belief

Protesters outside Province House on Wednesday, March 5.A terrific rock band was searching for a great name. In the news, they noticed, one word kept coming up over and over – and it would make a cool name. The band was named the Clash.
Today, an artist might zero in on this word: uncertainty. Uncertainty is the key word of 2025, recurring in media, spoken by world leaders, felt on the streets of the world. Things were already tense; then came Donald Trump. In the first 100 days of his second term, billions of people feel less secure, less confident and less certain.
How will we survive these discombobulating times? This series of stories, written by King’s journalism students who will graduate this spring, offers clues. You will discover that Nova Scotians – people with a long history of working through difficulties – are meeting this new storm with old optimism and fresh resilience.
