Two men are facing a combined 20 charges after police say they uttered threats outside a residence in Lake Echo Monday morning.

At around 5:30 Monday morning the Halifax District RCMP responded to a complaint that two males were causing a disturbance. It was reported that at least one of them was in possession of a handgun.

By the time police arrived on the scene the two suspects had left the area. Tyjah Borden, 19, and Bryce Brooks, 19, were found walking on Joyce Crescent with the help of RCMP police dogs.

Both men were arrested without incident.

Borden faces two counts of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He is also charged with uttering threats, mischief, trespassing at night and 12 other weapons related offences.

Brooks is accused of uttering threats, mischief and trespassing at night.

Both men appeared in court this morning.

According to the RCMP the investigation is currently ongoing.
