Detectives investigate the shooting on Cragg Avenue.Police say the person who fatally shot Terrence Izzard in north-end Halifax on Monday may have meant to shoot someone else.
In a news release Friday, police said Izzard “may not have been the intended target of this shooting.”
Police received reports of gunfire on Cragg Avenue at about 11:07 p.m. Monday. Izzard, 58, was fatally wounded. He was rushed to hospital, where he died of his injuries. Related stories
His death was declared a homicide the next day.
Police said a vehicle may have left the area of Gottingen, Uniacke, Brunswick or Maitland streets between 11:00 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. on Monday.
They believe there are witnesses to the shooting.
