Joshua Smith

Joshua is a Master of Journalism student at the University of King's College and a breaking news reporter with the Toronto Star. He spent nearly two decades working in sports media in Toronto before joining the MJ program to pursue hard news. Joshua grew up in Kjipuktuk (Halifax) and also earned diplomas from Dalhousie University and Humber Polytechnic. He is proudly neurodivergent and enjoys playing vintage piano keyboards, including his 1977 Rhodes Mark I Stage 73.
