Nova Scotia’s Province House celebrates its 200 birthday

A look-back at 200 years of history in Nova Scotia

Built in 1819, Province House stands on the site of the first governor’s home and is the oldest legislative building in Canada.

Since then, the site has seen some of Nova Scotia’s most historic bills, important political history and juicy scandals.

To celebrate the building’s history, we’ve put together a list of highs and lows from the last two centuries.
